Kuressaare Castle (Estonian: Kuressaare linnus ; German: Schloss Arensburg ), also Kuressaare Episcopal Castle, (Estonian: Kuressaare piiskopilinnus ), is a castle in Kuressaare on Saaremaa island, in western Estonia.

The stronghold of the bishop in Saaremaa – Kuressaare Castle-Fortress (Arensburg) is one of the most interesting and best preserved fortification structures in Estonia. Contrary to numerous other Estonian medieval castles Arensburg survived the Livonian War (1558–83) and continued to develop under its new owners.

The Kuressaare Castle, built between the 14th and 19th century, stands proudly throughout the years. It is one of the best-preserved fortresses in Estonia. After the long history of defending the island, it now serves as a museum of Saaremaa. Kuressaare Castle from the 14th century is a symbol of Kuressaare and all of Saaremaa island. The convent building at the castle is the only surviving medieval fortified building in the Baltic States without noteworthy architectural alterations.
